Yvonne, HR Generalist


  • What is your background and how did you come to work in HR?

I’ve worked in a few different industries such as Healthcare, Hospitality & FMCG. My first ‘proper’ job was in Recruitment and from there I moved into HR where I have been working ever since.

  • Tell us about your new role within Liberty IT.

I’ve recently taken up the position of HR Generalist for the Blanchardstown office.  My focus will be on recruitment for the new office and the implementation of LIT HR policies and processes. My challenge will be to replicate the great workplace that is already present in Belfast so that our new employees can enjoy a long and rewarding career with us.

  • What attracted you to work at LIT?

Liberty IT has a great reputation in Belfast so the opportunity to be involved in the expansion into the Dublin market was a fantastic and exciting opportunity for me.

  • What are your first impressions of working here?

I feel that I’ve definitely made the right decision in taking up the position here. Everyone has been so lovely and friendly and the HR Team have been really supportive in giving up their time to train me and make me feel welcome. I’ve also been really impressed with the level of professionalism established in Belfast and am looking forward to replicating that ethos in Dublin.

  • What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work I spend most of my time with family and friends. I also enjoy stand-up comedy and live music.

  • What would be your dream job?

My dream job would be one that allowed me to travel the world and explore new countries.
